Public Sector

Solution Psychology can offer services direct to the public sector or can be contracted to offer services on behalf of the public sector.  Dr Anne Woodhouse has over twenty years’ experience working within the public sector across the UK, so is well placed to understand and meet your needs.  The following services are available:

Client centred consultation
Providing support and advice around specific children or parents who are receiving support from a network of public sector services (e.g. Social Workers, teachers, Children’s Services’ Workers, mental health workers, school nurses, NHS staff).

System centred consultation
Providing support and advice for a complex network, e.g. service delivery redesign or team functioning 

Supervision
Providing clinical supervision for social workers and mental health workers providing services to children and young people with mental health difficulties and/or vulnerable parents.

Psychological Interventions
Providing highly complex psychological interventions for children, adolescents, adults and families on behalf of the public sector (for more detail go to Psychotherapy section).

Psychological Assessments
It may be appropriate to involve Dr Woodhouse in completing assessments of children, parents or families as part of legal proceedings or around complex care issues (e.g. vulnerable parents).  For more information go to the section on Expert Witness work.

Training
A wide range of training can be developed around the subjects of child and adolescent mental health, multi-disciplinary team functioning, vulnerable parents (e.g. parents with learning disability), attachment theory, child development, psychological theory and practice, models of clinical supervision, and more.
